COMPETENT TRAINER IN FALL PROTECTION
& QUALIFIED INSPECTOR OF FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
5-day Two-in-One Seminar - July 6-10, 2009 in Toronto, ON.
Offered by: Sulowski Fall Protection Inc. in association with CSA Learning Centre
SEMINAR SUMMARY
- Every graduate walks away with state-of-the-art knowledge in industrial fall protection. The included Trainer's Kit contains: three manuals, one book, ten CSA standards, and several videos – all on fall protection and all in a carry-on luggage.
- This course directly precedes and is designed to complement the Qualified Inspector of Fall Protection Equipment Seminar.
- Our grads become in-house experts in fall protection. Training, safety and technical personnel will benefit from the Trainer's Kit and the wealth of information delivered by the four speakers.
ABOUT THE SEMINAR:
Attention: Three, new CSA Standards: Z259.13-04 on Horizontal Lifelines; Z259.16-04 on Fall Arrest System Design, and Z259.11-05 on Energy (Shock) Absorbers, which call for substantial changes to selection/design of fall arrest systems, are included in our Program. The first two Standards were written for P.Eng-s while we explain them in a non-engineering language. Note also, that most of our regulations directly reference CSA standards, what makes them more than just technical documents. Our Seminar will assist you in compliance, especially with CSA Z259.16-04 which is "revolutionary" in its approach to equipment selection, anchorage requirements and other FAS requirements.
- This seminar is unlike any we have offered before! Perfect for Instructors, Safety Professionals, JHSC members, Engineers and anyone with some experience in Fall Protection wishing to take their knowledge to the next level!!
- Our Graduates receive two certificates: the Competent Trainer in Fall Protection and the Qualified Inspector of Fall Protection Equipment
- Every participant receives 3 Manuals, 1 Book, several Videos and 10 CSA Standards. The market value of these materials exceeds $1,250.
- Your Competent Trainer Certificate is backed by the largest Canadian standard writing organization!
- If improving fall safety, complying with fall protection regulations, minimizing your personal and company's liability, and getting proof of your due diligence are important to you, you need to attend, or to send your staff member to this seminar!!!
- This seminar was developed by Andrew C. Sulowski, P.Eng. who has been working exclusively in Fall Protection since 1977. Two of the three books on Fall Protection in English carry his name
- You can take advantage of our new fee payment structure and you can pay this fee in full or pay it in three installments!! Because of the costs of the handouts, the expenses and fees of our speakers, the royalties for the copyrighted materials and the 5-day food & beverage hotel bill - this seminar is for us very costly to organize and conduct
- New or amended Fall Protection Regulations which make training in Fall Protection mandatory are now in place in most Canadian Provinces
- The Canadian Federal Government passed Bill C45 in 2003, which criminalized safety infractions
- Most Canadian Provinces now allow contingency-style injury litigation, similar to the one that got totally out of hand in USA
You can't afford to be reactive and wait for an accident to happen. Gravity is with us to stay, so a falling incident or an accident WILL happen sooner or later. This course will assist you in minimizing the risk of injury due to a fall, and in being proactive in promoting safety. You will have a proof of your due diligence, and you will be minimizing consequences of any potential injury litigation.
WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND:
Gravity is with us to stay and falls will continue. Can you protect your workers from injuries, your supervisors and managers from litigation and your company from financial loses? Yes, you certainly can.
Remember, anybody who claims that they will stop falls in your organization – promises to remove gravity. Unless you can prevent a fall, which is always the best solution but not necessarily a feasible one, fall arresting may result in a minor injury. After all, arresting a fall is a business of catching a human body in mid-air. It is a very serious business indeed. We know (and we can prove our claim) how to minimize these potential injuries.
Knowledge is power and your two certificates will increase your own marketability. You don't need this? Maybe today you don't. Do you know the future? It sometimes brings the unexpected and the more knowledge you have, the better you are. Trust me, I speak from experience.
The first fall protection training conducted by you after graduation, or your first inspection of equipment will re-pay your fees with a profit. Take the opportunity of the offered installment payments.
This seminar was developed by Andrew C. Sulowski, P.Eng. who has been working in fall protection since 1977. Two out of three books on fall protection in English carry his name. Two largest corporations in Canada and USA have credited fall protection programs developed with his advice with saving hundreds of lives during the past 28 years. Andrew's approach is practical - if a small compact car will get you there, why take a stretch limo?
We cannot afford to be reactive and wait until an accident occurs. We must be proactive and the best way to do this is to give your staff an opportunity to learn from the experts.
